Check current status

Look at the License button (key icon) on tab DVD Addin → group About at far right — its label tells you the state:

Trial: N days left	On trial, N days left (calendar days on this machine)
⚠ Trial: N days left / ⚠ Trial ends today	Last 3 days / last day of the trial
Buy License	The trial has ended
License	Activated, nothing to do (or the state is not known yet)
Renew: N days left	Time-limited plan with 14 days or fewer left
Renew License	The purchased plan has expired
Go online	The 7-day offline session has under 24 hours left
Sign in again	The session ended (offline too long, or revoked) — the license is still valid

In the last 7 trial days and after expiry, the button also appears on the DVD Cons tab → Quick group. Full table (with the Vietnamese labels): License.

Click the button (it works even with no workbook open) to open the "DVD Addin — License" window:

• Trial — N day(s) left + start date + expiry date + Machine ID.
• OR: ✓ Signed in + edition + email + license expiry (or Lifetime) + the date to go online by (Works offline until).
• OR: ✗ License expired + the expiry date.
• OR: ⏱ Session expired — the license is still valid, you only need to sign in again.

Buy a license

Click the License button (once the trial has ended its label reads Buy License), then in the License window click the 🛒 Buy License button (orange). It shows during the trial, after the trial, when a plan has expired and when the machine has no license.

3-step wizard:

Step 1 — Pick configuration

• Duration: 1 year / 2 years / 3 years / Lifetime — or Other — contact us.
• Concurrent machines: 1 to 10 (more than 10: contact us).
• Edition: Standard or Pro (Renew / Upgrade to Pro opens with Pro preselected).

Price displays dynamically per selection — the grid below is the indicative Standard pricing; Pro prices show in the purchase window:

Price increase from 01/01/2027

Starting 01/01/2027, new prices apply (~38% increase). Buy before this date for current pricing.

Step 2 — Information

Enter:

• Email (used to log in to addin).
• Full name (required).
• Company (optional).

Click Continue → system creates an order.

Step 3 — Pay via VietQR

The window shows:

• VietQR code — scan with your banking app to transfer.
• Transfer note: DVDA-XXXXXXXX (8-char order ID).
• Amount: per chosen configuration.
• QR expiry: 30 minutes.

After successful transfer, the system:

1. Auto-detects (via SePay/Casso webhook).
2. Sends activation email with email + temp password to the address you entered.
3. License is created on the server.

Activate after purchase

Closing the purchase window takes you back to the License window — a green line tells you to check your email (including Spam) for the password, and the Email field is already filled in:

1. Check the Email (same as purchase email).
2. Enter Temp password from email.
3. Click Sign in.

On first sign-in, the system requires you to change password — enter a new password (≥ 8 chars) for long-term use.

After password change, addin moves to Activated state — every command in the plan you bought works (Standard: all except the 22 PRO commands; PRO: everything — see the table at the top), and the ribbon button goes back to License.

Renew or upgrade to Pro

When a time-limited plan has 14 days left, the button changes to Renew: N days left. Click it → Renew / Upgrade to Pro (shown on every activated machine except a lifetime Pro plan). The purchase window opens with Pro preselected and your current account email filled in — keep that email; paying with a different one creates a separate account.

Once paid, the new license is added to your account:

• Renewal: this machine keeps using the current plan; when it ends, open License and sign in again to switch to the new license.
• Upgrade to Pro: click Sign out, then sign in again to use Pro right away.

Plan already expired (label Renew License): open License, click 🛒 Buy License to buy again with the same account email, then sign in again.

Move license to another machine

License is bound to machine (machine ID — hash of Windows MachineGuid). Each license has a maximum N concurrent machines.

Method 1 — Deactivate old machine first

1. On old machine: open License window → click Sign out (Deactivate).
2. On new machine: sign in with email + new password.

Method 2 — Login to override (kick old machine)

Sign in directly on new machine. The system auto-kicks the old session → old machine loses access, new machine gets it.

Single-machine limit

Each license allows max machines = the package count (1/3/5/10). If exceeded, the new login kicks the oldest machine.

Troubleshooting

"No active license is attached to this account"

Your license has expired OR was disabled by admin. Contact support@dvdpm.net with your email for renewal support.

"Invalid email or password"

• Verify email is correct (no leading/trailing spaces).
• If you forgot the password, click Forgot password? right under the password field in the License window: receive a 6-digit code by email (valid for 15 minutes) and set a new password. If no code arrives, contact support.

"License expired" when everything looks OK

Cause: system clock is off by too much. DVDAddin has anti-clock-rollback — if it detects the clock has rolled back more than 1 hour from the recorded max value, it auto-invalidates the license cache.

While this is the case the License button shows only the neutral label License (no day count).

Fix:

1. Make sure system clock is correct (connect to Internet → Windows auto-sync).
2. Open Excel → wait for license heartbeat (every 30 minutes) or Deactivate + Activate again to force-sync.

Unexpected expiry — check status on server

Admin can query the database directly. End users contact support.
