What it does

The command snaps the currently selected picture or shape into a cell (or range) you nominate: it moves the object to the cell's top-left corner with a 3-point margin and then resizes it according to the picture-fit mode set in Preferences.

Use it to tidy up photos that drifted after manual insertion, after rows were inserted or deleted, or when a photo record was copied in from another workbook and no longer lines up with its cells.

How to use

1. Click a picture or shape on the sheet (the object must be selected, not a cell).
2. Go to tab DVD Addin → group Graphics → Insert Pic Menu → Move/Resize, or press Ctrl+Shift+D.
3. A picker appears — "Select target cell or range". Click the destination cell and press OK.
4. The picture is placed in the cell and resized according to the PictureFit setting under Preferences ▸ Graphics:
   • Cell — stretch to fill the cell (aspect ratio not preserved);
   • Width — fit the cell width keeping the ratio, and let the row height follow the image;
   • Contain — fit inside the cell and centre it, keeping the ratio;
   • Original — move only, leave the size untouched.
5. A toast confirms the object has been fitted.

Example

A weekly site diary has a merged photo cell at C8:C11. After two rows were inserted above, the photo of the M3 footing pour drifted and now covers the text in column D.

Click the photo, press Ctrl+Shift+D, then click cell C8 in the picker. Picking any single cell of the merged block is enough — the command expands to the whole C8:C11 area and seats the photo inside it with a 3-point margin.

Notes

• You must select the picture or shape first; if a cell is selected the command reports "Please select an image or shape" and stops.
• Only one object is processed per run — several misaligned photos means running it once per photo.
• Clicking any cell inside a merged block is sufficient: the command expands to the full merged area as the target frame.
• Cell mode unlocks the aspect ratio, so a photo can look stretched if the cell proportions differ; switch to Contain or Width to keep the ratio.
• Width mode changes the target row's height, which can shift the print layout — check Print Preview afterwards.
• Ctrl+Z will not undo this; if the fit is wrong, run the command again with a different target cell.
